where are you located?
We’re located in the inner-city suburb of Hawthorne in Brisbane - just a few minutes drive from the Murarrie exit of the Gateway Motorway. We’re very happy to come to you however travel outside of a 20klm radius of Hawthorne will incur an additional travel fee of $10 per klm.
WHAT TYPE OF PHOTOS CAN I EXPECT FROM A SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT SHOOT?
Our Social Media Content Shoots provide you with a supply of fresh, unique and consistent images to beautify your social media feed! The photos you receive can be thought of as stock photos to post as and when you need them. They can include product photos, shop fronts and interiors, behind the scenes shots and the little details of running your business. Anything to show off what you do or make! Photos taken at our Social Media Content Shoots do not include recognisable people however there is the option of combining a Personal Branding Portrait Shoot for an extra charge should you wish anyone to be featured.
WHAT is PERSONAL BRANDING?
Personal Branding is the marketing of yourself in a way in which you want the world to see you. It’s a reflection of your character, skills, passions, behaviour and goals. Basically, think of yourself as a brand. Our portrait sessions have always been about authenticity and our Personal Branding sessions are no different. Your Personal Branding should always be authentic so that when you meet others face-to-face, they’re presented with the same person they follow online.
CAN I COMBINE A PERSONAL BRANDING AND SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT SHOOT?
Absolutely! For an additional fee of $250 you can upgrade your Social Media Content Shoot to incorporate a Personal Branding shoot so you can have the best of both worlds - stock photos and beautiful portraits. Our 3 hour/30 image Influencer Package includes a Personal Branding shoot at no extra charge.
I DON’T UNDERSTAND WHY I HAVE TO PAY EXTRA TO FEATURE IN MY SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT SHOOT.
To put it simply, stock photos and portraits are two very different things! Not only when it comes to photographing them but more so in the post processing. Because we perfect the positioning of products, props and lighting at our Content Shoots, only a small amount of editing is generally required. Although we also perfect everything at our portrait shoots, there’s no getting around the fact that these images require more time spent on the micro details in post processing…removing flyaways; removing creases in clothes; removing pet hair from clothing; removing threads from clothing; removing glare from glasses; extending backdrops. The list goes on. We pride ourselves in giving our clients the best service so when it comes to portraits, I’m afraid it simply takes more of our time.
DO I NEED A PERSONAL BRANDING SHOOT OR A SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT SHOOT?
The main consideration is whether you’d like yourself or anyone else to feature in your shoot. If so, you’ll require a portrait shoot (click here for our Portraits and Personal Branding website). If you’d like photos in which the people featured are unrecognisable then our Social Media Content Shoots will suffice. If you’d like a combination of both then you’ll need a Content Shoot with the upgrade fee of $200 to incorporate a Personal Branding Shoot. Confused?! I DON’T UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU MEAN BY “UNRECOGNISABLE”.
What we mean by this is that the focus of the photo will be on something other than the person in the image so they’ll be blurred or mostly out of frame. It might be of a hand drawing plans; hands holding a jug while frothing milk; the back of someone while they hang a photo frame; looking over someone’s shoulder while they look at a paint chart. Essentially, the person in the photo serves a purpose but isn’t the focus.
which social media content package IS RIGHT FOR ME?
A good starting point is to consider whether you need a one off injection of photos or whether you’d like to work with us over a number of months with one of our subscriptions to create a comprehensive catalogue of images. Once that’s decided have a think about how many images you’d like. Our packages range in size from 10 to 30 images to cater for everyone’s needs.
I’M IN THE START-UP PHASE OF MY BUSINESS. CAN I ONLY PURCHASE THE START-UP PACKAGE?
Absolutely not! These are package names only and don’t limit you to a specific package based on where you’re positioned with your business. Just choose which one suits your budget and requirements.
WHOSE RESPONSIBILITY IS THE SHOOT CONCEPT?
We’ll work together to create the shoot concept. Some clients know exactly what they want to achieve at their shoot and only require someone to help make that vision a reality whereas others have no idea where to start and require much more creative input. We’re here to help and guide you in whatever way we can.
WHO PROVIDES PROPS FOR THE SHOOT?
While we can provide a studio or suggest locations for your shoot, it is the client’s responsibility to source props for their shoot to ensure their photos have the look and feel that they want for their brand. We’re very happy to help source props at the clients expense should they wish.
WHAT IS THE TURNAROUND TIME FOR IMAGES?
Turn around time for a Content Shoot is 7 days.
HOW DO I VIEW MY IMAGES?
When editing of your photos is complete, you’ll receive a link to an online gallery where you can view and select your favourite images. This process shows us which images you’d like without the need to meet in person…we understand how time poor business owners are!
HOW DO I DOWNLOAD MY IMAGES?
Once you let us know you’re happy with the images you’ve marked as favourites, we’ll email to you a Dropbox link with your selected images ready to download and start using immediately!
CAN I USE MY IMAGES IN PRINT?
You sure can! As well as low resolution and square crop, you’ll receive your photos in high resolution meaning that you can use them in print; whether that’s a flyer or a banner at a trade show.
